Competition-bred hard enduro tires engineered for traction on rock, roots, mud, and technical terrain.
Designed and tested in Romania, the country of hard enduro, for the terrain that defines it: wet rock, exposed roots, steep climbs, mud, and technical sections. IRON GRIP pairs aggressive tread designs with compounds tuned for control and traction.
Four compounds—from maximum-grip Extreme Soft to longer-wearing Medium—let riders choose the right balance of compliance, support, and durability for the terrain.
From longer-wearing Medium to our Extreme Soft, every compound is tuned for mechanical grip. The tread stripe tells you what you are running: white for Extreme Soft, yellow for Super Soft, dark green for Soft, no stripe for Medium.
Maximum compliance and traction for wet rock, roots, and extreme sections.
Highly compliant rear grip for soft ground, roots, and changing technical conditions.
Compliant, supportive grip for loose and technical terrain.
Stable handling and longer wear across mixed and hardpack terrain.
Start from where you ride. Softer compounds win when the terrain gets slick, harder compounds last longer.
| Terrain | Rear 140/80-18 | Front 90/100-21 |
|---|---|---|
| Wet rock · roots · extreme sections | TRX Extreme Soft Extreme Soft | TRX Soft |
| Soft soil · mud · ruts | XC95 Super Soft Super Soft | TRX Soft |
| Loose rock · technical trails | XC95 Soft Soft | TRX Soft |
| Mixed · hardpack · long events | XC95 Medium Medium | TRX Medium |
The TRX 140/80-18 Extreme Soft is our most compliant rear compound, built to conform over wet rock, exposed roots, and technical obstacles where mechanical grip matters most.
The XC95 140/80-18 Super Soft rear uses a highly compliant compound for soft ground, exposed roots, and technical climbs — identified by its yellow tread stripe.
The TRX 90/100-21 Soft front adds compliance and steering grip on loose, technical terrain — identified by its dark green tread stripe. Pair it with the TRX Extreme Soft or any XC95 rear.
Softer means more grip and a shorter life; harder means longer wear. For extreme sections and wet rock, run the TRX Extreme Soft rear. Most riders pair a Soft front with a Super Soft or Soft rear. For mixed terrain and long events, Medium holds its shape and lasts.
By the tread stripe: white is Extreme Soft, yellow is Super Soft, dark green is Soft, and no stripe is Medium. The compound is also printed on the sidewall label.
Yes. These tires are built for low-pressure competition use, and most hard enduro riders run them with a mousse or a Tubliss-style system. With tubes, follow your bike’s off-road pressure guidance. MotoExperience stocks matching mousses and Tubliss kits.
No. They are competition tires marked NHS (Not for Highway Service) and are not homologated for road use.
